Finding Yourself

Her cries rang out in the open room

All that she felt was total gloom

The pain was more than she could bare

Often gripping her everywhere

None the less she carried on

Not knowing what was right or wrong

There were days she felt like ending it all

And other days when she stood very tall

She can overcome almost anything

But first she must start believing

Once she has found the love inside

Her heart will prove to be her guide

What an incredible feeling this can be

To find the person inside that we all call 'me'

Look in a mirror and find yourself

Don't leave that person sitting on a shelf

Progress can only be made by you

It is something you owe to yourself to do

The fears you hold so deep inside

You will see they'll soon subside

Loving yourself helps make you strong

And how can anything this good be wrong

It makes you feel like you've been set free

So love the person inside that we all call 'me'

This is something that we all must do

For without doing this first 'me' can't love you
