One Day At A Time

A horse's life is easy

He runs around the field

So happy and carefree

Not a care in the world

The way we all should live

Being who we want to be

Not an upset to be had

Never having any bad thoughts

Or ever really getting mad

Why is life so filled with problems?

Because we make it that way

Always complicating matters

Instead of taking them day by day

If we'd stop to think how easy

Life itself could really be

Without all the complications

We could be so content and happy

I have learned so many lessons

That life has offered me

I take each day as it is dealt

And inside I feel so free

Although we can't control

The way our lives will end

We can enjoy the time we have

If we would just be someone's friend
