You're the only one who understands

The way I feel at times

For you my friend have listened

To what's been said in all my lines

I thank you dear for being you

As to me you are the best

You seem to know all about me

You even know when I need rest

Perhaps at times I take for granted

This friendship we possess

But know my dear friend always

I truly do feel blessed

To have such an understanding

That we both seem to share

Proves to me above all else

That you so truly care

I may not always be here

When you need a helping hand

Or have someone who will listen

But I will try the best I can

You have always graced my presence

With that gentle way you have

And you truly brighten all my days

With the way you show your love
